You have a solid foundation, but there are a few key areas to focus on to improve your infield ground ball performance. Start by working on getting lower in your fielding stance. Staying low will help you maintain balance, improve your reaction time, and make it easier to handle ground balls cleanly. A lower stance also keeps your eyes closer to the ball, enhancing your ability to track it into your glove.
Additionally, work on creating smoother actions with both your glove and feet. Right now, there’s some stiffness in your movements that can affect your efficiency and fluidity. Focus on keeping your glove soft and relaxed, allowing it to work seamlessly with your footwork. Your feet should stay active and in sync, helping you move fluidly through the ball and position yourself for an efficient throw.
To develop these skills, incorporate drills that emphasize smooth transitions and maintaining a low, athletic stance, such as short-hop drills and crossover step drills. These adjustments will improve your overall consistency and make your actions more controlled and effective. Keep working hard, and you’ll see significant progress in your defensive performance!

Basic Mechanics of Fielding

Hitting > Putting All Together (Tee)

Your mechanics are excellent, providing a strong foundation for consistent success at the plate. One area to focus on is making sure you take the knob of your bat directly to the baseball. At times, your swing can get a little loopy, which affects the efficiency of your bat path. By keeping the knob on a direct line to the ball, you’ll create a cleaner, more compact swing that maximizes power and contact quality.
Additionally, work on keeping your head on the ball through contact. This focus will help you track the ball better and maintain balance during your swing. Staying through the ball with your hands and bat path will also prevent rolling over too much at contact, allowing you to drive the ball more consistently to all fields.
Your load is a strong point, so use it to your advantage by driving your hands and back knee directly toward the baseball. This movement will create better extension through the zone and improve your ability to stay in the hitting area longer. Keep refining these small adjustments, and you’ll see even greater consistency and power in your swing. Great work!
