Great job maintaining your angles and adapting to the challenges of working indoors. Adjusting well to adversity like this shows your resilience and focus, which are essential for continued growth. One key area to refine is your movement when pivoting left, right, or behind you. Be mindful of avoiding false steps or lazy turns, as these can slow you down and impact your efficiency. Remember, this is an explosive movement that originates in your hips. Focus on opening your hips quickly and powerfully in the direction of your pivot to maximize speed and precision.
When charging ground balls, ensure you keep your head down and stay in rhythm. Maintaining smooth, controlled movements will allow you to field cleanly and transition efficiently. As you approach the ball, focus on staying balanced and in control while preparing for an explosive crow hop. Strive to get the ball out of your glove and into your throwing motion in under 1.1 seconds to maximize your effectiveness and put pressure on runners.
Keep working on these specific adjustments, and your defensive game will continue to reach new levels. Excellent work overall—your progress is evident!

Great swing and excellent mechanics! Your extension through the baseball is a standout, showing that you’ve developed strong fundamentals and a powerful bat path. One area to refine is your load, which currently lacks the fluidity needed to optimize your timing and adjustability at higher levels. Right now, your hands remain stagnant during your setup, which can make it more challenging to handle off-speed pitches or adjust to advanced pitching.
Take a moment to watch Major League hitters and observe the variety of load styles they use. Whether their hands move straight back or up, the key is that their load is synchronized with their body’s weight shift. As your weight shifts back and you load into your back hip, your hands need to travel as well. This movement creates separation between your upper and lower body, which is critical for generating power and staying in rhythm. Importantly, your hands shouldn’t start moving back or up until your body begins to move forward into the swing. This sequencing allows for maximum efficiency, better pitch recognition, and the ability to adjust to off-speed pitches.
Incorporating this dynamic hand movement into your load will greatly enhance your timing and overall effectiveness at the plate. Work on making this adjustment gradual and controlled to maintain balance and consistency. With these refinements, you’ll unlock even more potential in your swing and be better prepared for higher-level pitching. Keep up the great work!
